There is a legend that if you fold a 1000 Origami paper cranes, a crane will grant your wish. This wish has evolved into a prayer and a hope that has become part of my daily routine. Thankfulness, gratitude or appreciation. These all bring a softness to our hearts that let’s us be compassionate with ourselves and others.
My 1000 Paper Cranes are part of that whole experience for myself and more, a symbol of thankfulness. There is a slow building process of focusing on thankfulness everyday. And accumulation of that gratitude has a profound effect on how we see the day and move forward and interact with others. Some may look at this as a prayer or a meditation, either way, it is a way of appreciating the daily sense of grace I might otherwise lose track of in the midst of motherhood, work and the stresses of life.
